We often do not realize how large a role humidity plays in our overall comfort during the summer. Whether you are outside or inside, humidity has a great impact on our comfort and overall air quality. The Goodman split system air conditioning with multi-speed ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) controls humidity better than a standard on/off system. Instead of tuning on at full speed and then turning off once the thermostat setting is reached, the ECM-controlled system adjusts its speed to keep the temperature steady. This keeps the room cool and continuously keeps air moisture at bay.

The Goodman AMST42CU14 Multi-Position, 9-Speed ECM air handler with internal TXV is optimized for single-stage AC and HP outdoor units up to 15.2 SEER2 allows for more precise climate control and eliminates hot and cold spots in rooms that is often experienced with standard on/off units. Instead of simply turning off once the desired temperature is reached, your unit’s blower speed can be reduced to match the cooling or heating needed to maintain the desired temperature.
