Mini-Split System KSIV is the most recent addition to Klimaire’s line of high-performance wall mounted. A Mini split system offers a full range of features that make it the smartest choice when you look for a reliable heating source or a supplement to your current heating or air conditioning system, with a much lower energy consumption than a traditional central unit. With DC inverter variable speed technology, frequent thermostat adjustments become a thing of the past. Just choose a setting on your thermostat once and the system will auto regulate the compressor to deliver the right amount of heating and cooling to keep the room temperature steady, you will get all the benefits of superior cooling along with reliable heating on colder days. Inverter technology combined with air conditioner heat pump can generate energy savings up to 49% compared to standard on/off systems. Its finely tuned climate control offers the added benefits of less system wear and tear and whisper quiet operation.

The KSIV Inverter optimizes energy usage, the result is lower electric bills along with exceptional cooling and heating capacity, along with its selection of fan speeds, along with heating, cooling, dedicated dehumidification, turbo function and sleep mode. The auto clean function cleans and dries the evaporator to prevent mildew growth and maintain healthy indoor air quality. The new Home Away freeze protection feature maintains the room at 46º F when you are away for an extended period during the heating season. The remote control allows for manual operation of the unit when necessary. With the new “Quick-Hook Design,” the wall unit hangs easier and faster. An additional gap for pipe installation as well as right to left adjustments add to installation simplicity.

KSIV012-H119-O | Outdoor Unit
Automatic defrost prevents condensation from freezing and damaging the compressor. The built-in base pan heater ensures reliable operation in temperatures as low as 5º F. A built-in compressor heater ensures compressor longevity and reliability. Compact outdoor unit requires little ground space and can be mounted to a wall with wall brackets (not included).

Take your time, review Youtube videos, and plan for outdoor placement. Works great (AC and heat) for my large outdoor windowed patio. Disappointed that the warranty is invalidated if you don't use a certified installer but understand the reason; not everyone follows the directions. A true bargain but shop around. Most of these are made in China by the same company or are similar. My Patio is 600Sq Ft, and I wish I'd spent the extra 200 bucks and got the larger unit. I'm not living on the patio, and it will drop the outdoor temp from 109 to about 90, and I'm sure the larger unit would have done more. My first experience with these, I did the install, and I'd do it again. Very happy with the results.

Installed this myself 4 years ago and it is fantastic for my 750 sq ft basement. I heat it during work hours (work from home 8-5ish) for about $15 a month in NJ winters. Love having the AC as well, and use the Dry mode to dehumidify. For the cost, I am 100% happy. I added the Wifi module later on which is worth the $50 for scheduling and remote access.
