The Daikin AURORA multi-zone system is a flexible solution for individual zone comfort. Connecting up to 4 indoor units to a single outdoor unit reduces installation space and costs while maximizing comfort and energy efficiency. With a choice of 6 indoor unit types in a wide range of capacities, For all regions, the outdoor units of the multi-zone AURORA heat pump system have been redesigned to withstand extreme weather conditions with excellent energy efficiency ratings.
- Daikin AURORA heat pump for extreme weather conditions – Up to 100% heating capacity at 5°F (-15°C) and operate efficiently as low as -13°F ambient temperature.
- Outdoor Unit Quiet Operation – can reduce sound levels by 3dB for times when quieter operation is needed.
- Auto-Restart – The unit memorizes the operation mode, airflow and temperature settings. Should there be a power failure when the unit is in operation, it will automatically return to the same operating conditions when the power is restored.
- Intelligent Defrost Mode* – The outdoor unit will enable this mode to help prevent frost/ice from building up in cold climate conditions. It will also help with longer heating operation time for additional comfort for occupants (compared to HVAC systems without this function). *available on 4MXL only
- 2/3MXL outdoor unit drain pans have up to 14 holes which allows for effective drainage of condensation. In some case, this improved drain pan design eliminates the need for drain pan heaters, resulting in higher efficiencies in low ambient temperatures
- New Pain Drain – 4MXL newly designed drain pan on outdoor unit to help prevent condensate from freezing and causing damage to the fan and coil.

Fitting within the ceiling grid and discreetly mounted to the ceiling itself, VISTA is stylish, low profile, and compact. High efficiency and comfort are delivered through the combined use of floor and presence sensors (optional). It is also possible to close individual louvers via the wired remote control for personalized comfort.
